Cuban authorities have successfully defended against a seaborne assault launched by anti-government exiles operating from Florida, killing four attackers and wounding six others in what Havana describes as a thwarted terrorist operation.
The incident, which occurred near Falcones Cay on Cuba's northern coast, represents a troubling escalation in tensions as the island nation faces mounting pressure from US economic warfare and the recent capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro by American forces.
