In a significant development for Ireland's international mining interests, Galway Metals (TSX-V: GWM) has announced groundbreaking drill results at its Clarence Stream gold project in New Brunswick, marking one of the region's most substantial gold discoveries in recent years.

Record-Breaking Gold Interval Discovery

The discovery, reminiscent of Galway's tradition of making headlines, revealed an impressive 88-metre interval containing 1.1 g/t gold, including higher-grade sections of 10.0 g/t gold over one metre and 7.5 g/t gold over two metres.

"Intersecting the thickest gold interval to date at Clarence Stream highlights the scale and continuity we are starting to unlock across the project," stated Rob Hinchcliffe, president and CEO of Galway.

Project Significance and Future Prospects

The Clarence Stream project, which spans a remarkable 65-kilometre strike, demonstrates significant potential for combining heritage with modern development, much like Ireland's own industrial evolution. The project currently holds:

  • 922,000 oz indicated resource at 2.3 g/t gold
  • 1.334M oz inferred resource at 2.6 g/t gold
  • Multiple visible gold observations awaiting assays

Local Support and Economic Impact

The project has received substantial backing from the New Brunswick Junior Mining Assistance Program, with up to $50,000 in support allocated for 2025 exploration drilling. This collaboration mirrors successful public-private partnerships seen in Ireland's development projects.
