Zoe Kravitz Speaks Out on Styles Engagement Rumours
Zoe Kravitz has broken her silence on the rumoured engagement to former One Direction star Harry Styles, speaking candidly about the relentless public scrutiny that has followed the couple in recent months.
The actress and model, 37, and the singer first sparked romance rumours in August 2025 following a series of public sightings together. Since then, the pair have rarely left the headlines, with constant speculation about whether they are set to tie the knot.
In an interview with British Vogue, Kravitz said she is aware of the discussion surrounding her relationship but finds it overwhelming.
I'm aware it's happening. I'm aware of when it's happening, like when there are eight people outside my house, that's super uncomfortable.
She spoke of how engaging with the speculation feels unhealthy, adding that there are moments when you simply want to hide.
And then there are moments when you, whether it's in a defiant way, are like, 'I'm going to walk and get my coffee and you're not going to take that away from me.'
The Right to Walk Freely
Recent images have surfaced online of Kravitz walking around New York City, wearing what appears to be an engagement ring on her left hand. The tabloid frenzy that followed only reinforces the point she went on to make about public space and personal freedom.
People sometimes ask me, 'Why are you walking around?' It's because I live in New York. I live three blocks away, I'm not going to get in a car.
When the weather is nice, she said, she wants to participate in life. Kravitz made clear that closing herself off is not an option, because surrendering the simple act of walking for a coffee means surrendering something essential about who you are.
Maintaining any kind of normal state, I think, is really important.
Balancing Career and Personal Life
Reflecting on the future, and the concept of balancing marriage and children alongside a demanding career, Kravitz offered a grounded perspective.
You just kind of have to be realistic. If I want to do something well, I have to focus on it. Knowing myself, I'm not going to have a kid and direct movies at exactly the same time. You just have to decide where you want your energy to be.
Growing Up in the Public Eye
Kravitz, the daughter of rocker Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet, also addressed her status as a so-called nepo baby. She spoke about being raised by famous parents and the reality behind the label.
As a kid, you don't really understand that. My dad would come and go, and I really valued my time with him. I think for me, his fame was more about really wanting time and then all these people would come and try to take him away.
She chose to move to New York because it is the one place where I felt really comfortable, and told the publication that pursuing the arts and acting became a release.
A Career of Her Own Making
Kravitz has appeared in films including X-Men: First Class, Mad Max: Fury Road, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, and more recently starred in The Batman alongside Robert Pattinson. She has also had TV roles in Big Little Lies and High Fidelity, and briefly followed in her father's footsteps to pursue a music career as part of R&B duo Lolawolf.
Styles rocketed to fame as a contestant on ITV's The X Factor in 2010 alongside Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik in chart-topping boyband One Direction.
