Ann Widdecombe Murder: Police Say No Further Suspects After Arrest
Police investigating the murder of former MP and MEP Ann Widdecombe have confirmed they are not looking for anyone else after a 28-year-old man was arrested. The suspect, a white British man, was taken into custody in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, on Saturday evening with support from Counter Terrorism Police.
Assistant Chief Constable Matt Longman of Devon and Cornwall Police told reporters on Sunday that there is no evidence the killing was terrorism-related or politically motivated. He urged the public not to engage with online speculation, calling it unhelpful and distressing to the victim's family and friends.
Ann Widdecombe, 78, was found dead at her home in Haytor on Dartmoor on Thursday after a
