Liverpool surrendered the lead twice in Istanbul on Wednesday night as Fenerbahce came from behind twice to win 3-2, ending the English side's 100% record in this season's Champions League.

A night that slipped away from Liverpool
Liverpool had taken the lead through 19-year-old Trey Nyoni, who capped a composed performance with an excellent volley to open the scoring. In doing so, he became Liverpool's youngest player to score his maiden goal in the Champions League, and the club's second-youngest scorer in the competition after Trent Alexander-Arnold.
But the Turkish night turned against them. Former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood scored Fenerbahce's first equaliser with a free-kick that deflected in off Jeremy Jacquet, and from there the game descended into something far more frantic, to the delight of a febrile home crowd.
As BBC Sport reported, Liverpool's defending proved costly on both occasions, with the lead lost first through Nyoni's opener and then through Isak's strike.
Iraola's rotation under scrutiny
Manager Andoni Iraola made five changes to the side beaten by Arsenal on Sunday, resting Isak, Florian Wirtz and Cody Gakpo as his squad nears the end of a run of nine games in 27 days. The rotation was understandable, but it left Liverpool blunt in attack for long spells.
Bradley Barcola was deployed as a striker but struggled with the physicality of Fenerbahce's centre-backs, even though Kojo Oppong was making his first Champions League start. Victor Munoz snatched at an early chance when found in space, summing up the naivety that ran through much of the visiting side.
Steve McManaman, speaking on The Guardian's live coverage, pulled no punches about the goals conceded:
